Cabot Cliffs is Coore & Crenshaw with the volume turned up: six par 3s, six par 4s and six par 5s roaming from pine bluffs down through dunes to headlands sixty feet above the sea. It debuted at No. 1 in Canada and hasn't given the spot back.
Everything builds to the 16th—a par 3 played across a cliff corner where the Gulf fills the whole horizon and anything left is gone forever. But the quieter genius is the variety: no two holes ask the same question, and the 6-6-6 card means momentum can swing on every tee.
Hole 16 · The Cliff CornerThe 16th plays across a bite of cliff with the Gulf of St. Lawrence sixty feet below and nothing but faith between tee and green. Take one extra club, commit over the corner, and enjoy the safest bail-out in golf—anything right leaves a chip; anything left is a story for the bar.
