Scarecrow is David McLay Kidd and Nick Schaan's follow-up to the original Gamble Sands course, a par-71 routing at 6,921 yards that trades some of the original's width for sharper strategy and some of the most photographed views on the property, high above the Columbia River.
It's a newer, tighter test than its sibling—bring your best ball-striking, not just your driver.
Hole 10 · 478 yardsThe 10th is the hole people leave Scarecrow talking about—a 478-yard par 4 that dares you to flirt with the bunker down the right while half of Washington sits open on the left. Below, the Columbia bends through apple and cherry orchards; ahead, the fairway slaloms 70 feet downhill to the green.
Club members put Scarecrow on watch—when a time opens on their dates, they hear about it first.
