Tom Doak found genuine sand dunes hiding under the East Texas pines and routed Wild Spring Dunes through them—firm, fast corridors that play more like the Sandhills of Nebraska than anything else in Texas.
The course opens to the public September 8, 2026 after a founders' summer, walking only, with caddies encouraged and replay rounds at roughly half price.
Sand countryThe surprise of Wild Spring Dunes is the land itself—ancient sand ridges rolling under the pines, exposed in sprawling waste areas that frame green after green. It plays firm and wild, nothing like the parkland Texas golf you are picturing.

Public play from September 8, 2026—$275 fall peak, under $200 in winter, replays roughly half price. Walking only.
