Kitsap Peninsula golf means Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, a 36-hole public complex built around two very different courses: the Olympic, a John Harbottle III design that’s routinely rated the best municipal golf in Washington, and the older, more affordable Cascade, laid out by Ken Tyson in 1971.
It’s a value destination, not a resort one—both courses are cart golf through tall Puget Sound firs, priced like the munis they are, with the Olympic Mountains visible over the treeline on a clear day. Most golfers get here from Sea-Tac by way of the Seattle–Bremerton ferry, a scenic 90 minutes that’s part of the trip rather than a tax on it.
