Streamsong is a self-contained golf resort built on the sand spoils of a decades-old phosphate mine in central Florida—Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw's Red, Tom Doak's Blue, and Gil Hanse's Black all share the same mined-out lagoons and stacked dunes, plus Coore & Crenshaw's 19-hole short course, The Chain. A fifth course, David McLay Kidd's Bone Valley, is on the way.
Everything is on property—the 216-room Lodge, the restaurants, the spa—and there's real isolation here: it's 90 minutes from both Tampa and Orlando, and rideshares will drop you off but won't pick you up, so plan your way out in advance.
